  1. Re: John Carter of Mars: Yeah, the framing sequence with Edgar Rice Burroughs is in the books. The first few books are available on Gutenberg.org for free, since they're in the public domain. There are some free audiobook versions on librivox, too.

    • Started reading the Marvel version as well which is probably closer to the source material. I do have to say I think the Dynamite stuff is a lot better though.

  2. JLI #7 was a misogynistic bucket of pig swill! I find it abhorrent to cripple and cast aside 75% of the esteemed female membership and then replace them with more worthless and uninteresting trolls. And any writer who ditches a trio of beautiful babes for a meager and derivative shock value moment should be sued for literary malpractice. Someone put Dan Jurgens's career in a coma.

    • Well you have joined the dark side with Darrell and Keith on this one. I thought it was great to have a story where you loose half the cast. Plus they are not gone. It is like Empire Strikes Back. We just lost "Han" for awhile. Yes we lost Rocket Red but this was definitely not the Rocket Red we loved from Generation Lost. "Uninteresting Trolls" no way we have OMAC the best character in the new 52.
