Another fun show.
I knew it! Keith is a renaissance man.
Anyway, I drop Red Robin a long time ago. and I skiped the crossover.
I thought Flasjpoint #01 was fine, but #02 was better. Hopefully you'll talk about that issue soon
Keep the good work
Hi guys,
I dont read comic reviews anymore. The situation is just as you described it. Reviewers nit pick all the time. They always expect everything to be revealed in the first issue of an arc. Also they do not give creators the benifit of the doubt. They judge a whole arc by the first issue. They dont stop to consider that the story is going to unfold in the upcoming months and that the things that they have issues with might also be resolved or changed in future installments.
I might have already mentioned that here in Germany, I have no one to talk to about comics because they are not as popular here as in the US. So I went on the internet to share my joy and excitement for the DCU. However I was shocked by the negativity of socalled comics fans. They are cynical, filled with rage and constantly unsatisfied. So I stopped reading Forums and visiting Comics websites. They only comic podcast I listen to is DC noise. You are realy in love with the DCU and are enthusiastic about comics in general. In addition when you criticize something then its justified because you guys give every creator (and comic book) a fair chance. You make your mind about something after reading multiple issues of a comic (e.g. Mike's criticism of red robin or Keith's criticism of the great ten).
Thanks for that!
@Monica, told you there would be more Renaissance.
@Badsoul, I do like Red Robin but I did not care for the arcs where they crossed over with other books. It just seemed incredibly choppy. I think it will get better before it is rebooted. I am looking forward to the reboot but will miss some of the quality books or characters that did not make the cut. I am sure I will have some new favorites 🙂
@ Mike: yeah those are exciting times. The announcements thus far have mostly been great.
i'm finally caught up on DC Noise and am so sorry i ain't showed you guys much love but am back. And i would like to welcome Darrell to DCnoise even if am like 5 episodes late. I like the new format of the podcast and i want to get drunk with Keith and Darrell one day. Keith has Lois Lane blocked you on twitter yet? i kinda agree with Mike when it comes to Red Robin, i still like the book but the story is really hard to follow the story.
once again keep up the good work guys.
@Kyle, Welcome back. We have not heard from you in awhile. Glad you like the new format.
its good to be back Mike. Am gonna listen to your dc relaunch episode. I can't wait to hear what you guys have to say
Looking for the next Wolverine Beserker podcast…what's up???
